Let's get started.
Therapy + Mediation
Do the best you can until you know better.
Then, when you know better, you do better.
~ Maya Angelou
Individual therapy is an opportunity to explore your concerns in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. You will receive support + guidance to help you shift out of what’s not working in your life and into what’s possible. My style is warm and interactive. I tailor my approach to the unique needs of each client and what she or he needs to achieve and sustain desired results.
Relationships can be challenging and couples sometimes need help navigating difficulties. I help couples improve their communication which increases understanding and trust, deepening the love + connection. It is important for couples to practice newly learned skills outside of therapy sessions so couples may be assigned homework to reinforce what has been discussed in therapy.
Child Custody Mediation
Child Custody Mediation focuses on the needs of your children to develop a parenting plan that is developmentally appropriate for your child and ensures frequent and continuing contact with both parents. Mediation may result in the creation of actual custody documents that can be turned into court orders.
Co-Parenting Counseling assists parents who already have court orders and are struggling with how to communicate and cooperate with each other. This is a directive and business-oriented process, with specific agendas created for sessions and summaries of the meetings provided post-session. An optimal co-parenting relationship provides significant benefits to your children and their adjustment to divorce.
Family Court Consultation
I provide single-session consultations related to divorce, age-appropriate parenting plans and the family court process. My almost two decades of experience as a Family Court Mediator can help you navigate this often confusing maze and make positive decisions on behalf of your children.
The decision to come to therapy can be a difficult one. It may come with feelings of vulnerability or perhaps fear that you will be judged. You may have the idea that seeking help means that you are “weak” or that something is “wrong” with you.
My job as a therapist is to create and hold a safe space where you can feel seen, heard and understood. This is the foundation of healing and personal growth, no matter what the problems or circumstances may be. Our work together will provide you with the insight and tools to release limiting beliefs, practice new behaviors, have more fulfilling relationships and be the very best YOU.
I'm here to help you shift out of what's not working in your life
and into what's possible.
My approach is strengths-based and blends cognitive-behavioral therapy, mind-body practices, and supportive psychotherapy. I work holistically with my clients, combining all aspects of an individual: body, mind and spirit.
My style is heart-centered and interactive.
Therapy is a doorway to happiness and well-being that requires courage and commitment. I customize care for each individual or couple, adjusting my style depending on each person’s needs, concerns and goals.

My Specialty Areas
Separation + Divorce can be a frightening and confusing time.
My own divorce, following a long-term marriage with young children,
led me to a career in family court.
It is my passion to help others going through this life transition.
If you have children, undoubtedly you are worried about the impact your divorce will have on them. The good news is that divorce does not have to harm your children. The key is in creating an optimal co-parenting relationship with your child’s other parent. I will help you do that.
My decades of experience as a family court mediator provides a wealth of information you will not find elsewhere.
I have assisted thousands of families going through separation and divorce.
My expert guidance will help ease your pain, reduce your anxiety, provide clarity in the confusion and allow you to develop a parenting plan that is unique to your circumstances and appropriate for your child’s developmental needs.
Working with a therapist-mediator privately during this transition can help diffuse conflict and keep the focus on what is most important: your children. It is also much less expensive in the long run — both financially and emotionally — than litigating your disputes.
